What is vacuum for pet hair hardwood and carpet

So I read bagged is better than bagless. My only problem now is that I really can't tell the difference! I'm not sure why this isn't advertised, but I just can't figure it out. I'm currently looking at the Miele Complete C3 Cat & Dog Vacuum Cleaner . Is that bagged or bagless? It simply doesn't say! I'm looking for a canister vacuum for a small apartment with wall to wall carpeting. I want canister because my apartment has way too many tight spaces and a traditional upright vacuum is a HUGE pain to use.
