The 4 Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner Reviews 2019

Relaxing while you have a little droid doing the chores for you. Sounds like a dream doesn’t it? Well, thanks to recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence (which I’m a huge fan of) that possibility is now a reality. The market for robot vacuum cleaners has exploded with many different choices now.

These robots are more reliable, quiet and very efficient. Some of these robots have sensors and cameras which affect its decision making while vacuuming. Now let’s take a look at the top robot vacuum cleaners in the market today:

iRobot Roomba 770 Vacuum Cleaner

iRobot is the leading company in robot vacuum cleaners. It was built after all by roboticists from MIT. We are thankful to them for bringing us one of the most technically advanced vacuum cleaners. This robot can clean up to 98% of dirt and pet hair by just pressing one single button. If that isn’t convenience I don’t know what is.

It has iAdapt Technology which allows it to make a visual diagram of your household. its sensors allow it to detect stairs and walls for ultimate cleaning. It can be programmed to clean at a certain period up to 7 times per week so there isn’t a need for you to do anything once it’s been programmed. It’s also able to differentiate between floor types to provide specific cleaning.

Unlike other Roomba’s the 770 has a HEPA filter, which captures dust and dirt resulting in cleaner air. For those who have asthma or allergies, this can be a huge benefit to you, while even those who don’t will still enjoy fresher and cleaner air.

Features:

  • Advanced Cleaning head which increases its capability of picking up hair, dust and dirt.
  • Dirt Detect Series 2 – Allows its sensors to detect the dirtiest areas around which allows it to spend more time on areas that need cleaning rather than others.
  • Persistent Pass Cleaning Pattern – A cleaning motion that is most effective in vacuuming resulting the most efficient way of cleaning.

iRobot Roomba 880 Vacuum Cleaning Robot

The older brother of the Roomba 770. If you didn’t think it could get better well it just did. This Roomba uses a different type of cleaning system and batteries.

Welcoming the new Aero Force Performing Cleaning System it greatly improves cleaning using Aeroforce extractors that improve airflow acceleration and vacuum suction power. It uses a new iRobot battery known as XLife that doubles the cleaning cycles than the past Roomba’s. It also uses a new software that returns it to the position where it originally started to get ready for the next cleaning cycle.

Just like the 770 it also allows scheduling so you can select when you want it to start vacuuming. It uses iAdapt Responsive Technology to make a map of your home allowing it to get around obstacles and clean all of your home.

Features:

  • Dirt Detect Series 2
  • iRobot XLife Extended Battery
  • Aeroforce Performance Cleaning System
  • Aeroforce Extractors

Neato XV-21 Automatic Vacuum Cleaner

For those animal lovers out there this is the perfect vacuum for pet hair. It has a brush that is especially designed to pick up pet hair. This is one of my close friends favorite vacuum due to the fact that it does tend to be cheaper than the rest of the vacuums and it’s not to far behind the other vacuums.

The Neato has laser driven technology that allows it to scan the room and completely map out it’s cleaning track. It works in all types of terrain as well. Such as hardwood, carpet, stone and tiles. Just like the roombas it has advanced technology that allows you to decide when you want it to clean and best of all you don’t have to worry about putting it to charge because it automatically returns to the charging station after it finishes vacuuming.

Features:

RPS Technology – Uses a laser to create maps of the areas around it that need cleaning

iRobot Roomba 650 Vacuum Cleaner

The Roomba 650 the younger brother of the 770 and 880. Now, this was my very first robot vacuum cleaner that made me fall in love with them.

It uses virtual walls that keeps the vacuum inside wherever you want it to stay in. This is if you just don’t want it to get into a certain room since it has cliff detecting technology there isn’t a need to place the virtual walls near stairs. Unlike its older brothers this one doesn’t have a HEPA filter, instead, it uses an AeroVac Filter. Something to take note is that this vacuum does not have a full bin indicator so it’s just something up to you to check however I wouldn’t consider this to much of an inconvenience.

Features:

  • 3 Stage Cleaning – A cleaning plan of 3 stages that is used to provide the best vacuum cleaning
  • Dirt Detect – Sensors that allow the vacuum to detect dirt
  • iAdapt Responsive Cleaning Technology – Software that allows the vacuum to clean the area better.
